IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL INFORMATION
ODL, Inc., in connection with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, is voluntarily recalling certain “Severe Weather” Doorglass Insert Products manufactured between May 1, 2022 and December 6, 2022. Products manufactured before May 1, 2022, and after December 6, 2022, are not affected by this recall.
These products were originally sold by ODL under the ODL, Western Reflections, and Kenyon’s Glass brand names. ODL also sold these products to intermediate distributors, who typically resold the products as a part of a completed “door and doorglass” product under different brand names. Jeld-Wen is one of the brands which sold these products, including in-store and on-line sales at Lowe’s, Lowes.com, Home Depot, Home Depot.com, and Zabitat.com. Doorglass products (not pre-installed in doors) were also sold through Zabitat.com. The completed “door and doorglass” products were sold at various retail prices, typically ranging from $1,200 to $2,250.
Attached are photos which (i) give examples of these products; and (ii) show you where you can find the date code. If you have one of these Severe Weather products made within the affected date code range, or if you are not sure, please contact ODL (see below). If you do not have one of these products, no further action is needed.
Have any of these products already been corrected? Yes. Some products from within this date range (May 1, 2022 to December 6, 2022) have already been corrected. No further action is needed for products that have already been corrected. Corrected products have been marked with an etched “R” on the doorglass – see attached photo (iii).

Finding and photographing the temper stamps
Temper stamp is located on the opposite side from the etched date code. To capture a clear picture of the temper stamp, place a dark, solid background behind the glass and shine a light, such as a flashlight, on the stamp.
(iv)
Under severe weather conditions (such as hurricane conditions), the adhesive holding the doorglass into its frame can fail, allowing the doorglass insert to become separated from the door. This could result in property damage or injury under severe weather conditions.
No, but it is important that all affected products be repaired.
All affected products will be repaired, in your home, by a certified repair serviceperson. There will be no cost to you to have these repairs completed. If the frame of your Severe Weather doorglass insert is painted, repairs will not include any touch-up paint. Please refer to our Severe Weather frame finishing instructions for guidance.
The recalled Severe Weather Doorglass inserts may not function as expected. You should first check the date code of your doorglass insert (see above) to see if it is within the affected date range (May 1, 2022 to December 6, 2022). If it is within the affected date range, you should then check to see if has already been corrected (corrected doorglass products have an etched “R” on the doorglass – see photo (iii) above). If it is not within the affected date range (made before May 1, 2022, or after December 6, 2022), or if it has already been corrected, no further action is needed. If you are not sure, you should contact ODL (see below).
No other products are affected by this recall.
Submit this form to get the necessary repairs scheduled. You can also contact ODL (Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET) to schedule repairs, or if you have questions about this recall:
